Privacy Policy

Lia is operated by Shefin Muhamed, a sole proprietor based in Kerala, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains how Lia (the service at liaos.space and on WhatsApp) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information. We have tried to keep it plain. It is not legal advice. Where a data protection law that applies to you sets a stricter rule, that rule applies.

About your health information

Lia is built around conversations about PCOS, also called PCOD and now PMOS. That means you may share sensitive information with us: symptoms, cycle details, moods, lab reports, prescriptions, and photos of medical documents. We treat this as sensitive personal data and handle it with extra care. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing. Lia is not a doctor and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

What we collect

  • Account details you give us, such as your name, phone number or email, and password credentials for the web product.
  • Conversation content you send through web chat or WhatsApp, including any attachments you choose to upload, such as photos of blood reports, prescriptions, or old tracker screenshots.
  • Health and lifestyle details you tell Lia over time, which she remembers to make her support more useful to you.
  • WhatsApp technical data needed to deliver messages, such as your WhatsApp number and delivery status events from Meta.
  • Location only if you choose to share it, for features such as locally relevant guidance.
  • Payment information for premium, processed over UPI. We receive confirmation and transaction references. We do not store your full UPI credentials.
  • Technical logs such as IP address, timestamps, and error diagnostics, used to keep the service secure and working.

How we use your information

We use your information to run Lia and reply to you, to remember your story so you do not start from zero each time, to keep the service safe and reliable, to process premium payments, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal health conversations to data brokers, and we do not use them to show you third-party ads.

Consent and your control

We rely on your consent to process the information you share with Lia, alongside other lawful bases such as performing the service you asked for and meeting legal duties. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your data or closing your account, as described below. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing we already carried out, and some features will stop working without the data they depend on.

AI and the providers we work with

Lia generates her replies using AI language models. To deliver the service we share your messages and relevant context with a small number of providers, who process that data on our behalf or under their own terms:

  • AI models from Anthropic, accessed through OpenRouter, to generate Lia's responses.
  • Meta (WhatsApp), to deliver and receive your messages on WhatsApp.
  • Hosting and infrastructure on DigitalOcean, where the service runs.

These providers may process your prompts and Lia's outputs as part of delivering the service, under their own terms. Because conversation content can include health information, please keep that in mind when deciding what to share.

How long we keep it, and how deletion works

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and you keep using Lia. When you ask us to delete your data or close your account:

  • We deactivate your account straight away and stop using your data.
  • We permanently erase your conversations, attachments, and account data within 14 days. The short window lets you undo an accidental deletion and lets us complete the erasure safely.
  • Two things we cannot remove on request: minimal payment and transaction records we are required to keep under tax and accounting law, and any copies sitting in routine backups, which are overwritten on our normal backup cycle.

Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it, and you can raise a grievance about how we handle it. Use the in-product options after you sign in at liaos.space, or write to us at the contact below. We will respond within the timelines the law requires.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of storing or sending data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

If there is a data breach

If a personal data breach affects your information, we will act to contain it and will notify the relevant authority and affected users as required by applicable law, including the timelines set under India's data protection rules.

Cookies and sessions

The web product uses a small number of essential cookies and session tokens to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We do not use them for third-party advertising.

Age

Lia is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not meant for children. Please do not use Lia, or share anyone's information with us, if you are under 18.

International users

We operate from India, and your information is processed there. If you use Lia from another country, your information may be processed in a country with different privacy laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. If the changes are significant, we will make a reasonable effort to let you know.
